Career and Training
For decades, we have been training wholesale and foreign trade merchants. Our motto 'Learning by doing' is the best recipe for imparting knowledge. We place great emphasis on this: 3 years of training in which the trainee rotates through the classic departments of wholesale: financial accounting, purchasing, sales, filing, shipping, and export. Here, a personal computer with inventory management system, office programs, internet and email access for research supports the young merchant in their work. At the same time, the trainee learns to use information technology.
'Taking responsibility' applies from the first day across all areas: in contact with business partners, in creating offers, dealing with authorities, or organizing materials for mailings. Our trainees should grow into the 'real' business and gain experience. In the export department, we correspond in the customer's native language. Accordingly, offers, documents, and accompanying papers are to be prepared. The young people are significantly involved in trade fair organization: decoration, setup, dismantling, sales at the trade fair. Our trainers have satisfied, curious students who are happy to be guided. Each trainee accompanies small project activities during the three-year training period, such as 'telephone billing, invoice verification, or fleet management.' This independent work and 'dealing' with the topic and business partners contribute significantly to a solid education. In the end, KM trains to invest in our own future, and it pays off. Currently, we train a total of 3 apprentices.
